Missing climate information

[edit]

There does not appear to be any information about the climate of Montenegro on this page. Can somebody please add this? SkyLined (talk) 08:13, 6 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Illyrian occupation false

[edit]

Illyrian was a term used by the Romans to refer to various peoples in what is today the Balkans by the Adriatic. It did not refer to any specific group and was an umbrella term. The traditional story of Slavonic migration in 6th and 7th century is presently undergoing significant revision, but most certainly, by that time, the population of the region would have been Romanized for centuries, therefore the reference in the intro paragraph that before the arrival of the Slavs the people in the area were "Illyrians" is - even if we accept the premise - grossly anachronistic, as the term really applies to the region *before* Romanization - and in the 6th and 7th centuries, not only would the populations been Romanized since the 1st c BCE, but were still Romanized, as Montenegro remained part of the Byzantine Eastern Roman Empire.
